| | Model of the car: | Suburban 4wd | | | General comments: | Love the large cargo area, ideal for long rides with kids. However, I am very disappointed with the brakes, every 3,000 to 4,000 miles I need new brakes, no warning and by then they say the rotor is gone as well. All my old cars had some warning that brakes were wearing. Have needed new alternator, 2 batteries, brake light assembly ($110!!), back doors won't close (locking assembly turns upside down) and they just turn and oil, constant repair I do by myself now. Sold us the car raised, with large tires but each time I have problem they blame the tires and lift kit saying not right for car and back down when I prove dealer installed. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | everything but space.Can't stress enough that they knew brakes were a problem but kept selling these cars. How can you sell a family car that doesn't have adequate brakes. And Chevy...I don't drive like a demon, no speeding tickets!, and it's hard to drive a suburban like that anyway. | | | Previous car: | chevy van (trouble with brakes too) and Ford Expedition (sorry I sold that one) |
